I was going to cancel my subscription because the monthly payment was significantly raised. I could not afford to pay the new monthly rate. I spoke with a service representative for NYT and he helped me find a much more affordable rate. Im thrilled with the result. I didnt want to cancel and now I dont have to. Thank you Ron. My hero

Sudden loss of home delivery but the resolutions offered were worse than that

Suddenly home delivery stopped. No advance notification. No explanation. As an alternative my paper was mailed to me with a 1-3 day delivery option. Not kidding, but who wants to read a days old newspaper? By first phone contact, I was offered a 3 month hiatus with free digital, no billing, and they would stop the mail delivery. One week later (today) I am still getting papers by mail and it HAS TO continue until 3/1, I was billed my monthly $133 and will continue to be billed through the three months just because I am on suspension. $133 for non-delivery of paper!!! It will become a credit with refund available only if/when I terminate subscription. Customer service personnel are polite and trying to be helpful but these are the rules. No one in NY office will take calls; only option is help@***.com. Received a stock response thank you for reaching out. Foolishly I expected better from the NYTimes. Customer service rating <0
